WPPA 10th ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2026
The 10th Annual Conference for the Western Positive Psychology Association (WPPA) returned to Claremont Graduate University for its 10th year anniversary. This was a positive, engaging, relationship-building, meaningful, and accomplishment-oriented event where we connected (and reconnected) with people interested in positive psychology, including students, researchers, practitioners, veterans, and neighbors from the local communities. Dr. Heshmati delivered a keynote talk on Feeling Loved Across Cultures (see video here), PhD student Shohreh Shahangian and others were honored as top winners of the poster presentations, and PhD students Jaymes Paolo Rombaoa and Fabiana Memmolo were running around throughout the event as student volunteers and as the Claremont Flourishing Center’s two new predoctoral fellows in the Rekhi Foundation’s Fellowship Program. We’re looking forward to the next positive psychology events!

DBOS Lab Olympics 2023
The annual tradition is back! The DBOS (Division of Behavioral & Organizational Sciences) Lab Olympics is back and in person after a 3-year hiatus! It was a fun field day outdoors while we had some friendly competition against other research labs at CGU. Our Lab teamed up with Dr. Berry’s Youth Development Eval Lab (YDEval) to form a fierce team ready for competition!

1st time Competing at CGU Lab Olympics 2020!
It was our first time competing as a lab at the CGU Lab Olympics 2020! Lab Olympics is a fun, annual event with other labs in the department at CGU with friendly academic/non-academic-related activities!We were proud to rock our lab shirts and represent the Well-Being and Developmental Research Methods Lab! Yes, we eat cake at our lab meetings. We had a lot of fun and shout out to all the other amazing research labs at CGU and the Department of Behavioral & Organizational Sciences!
